AIWB Holster: Dara Holsters Customer Review

Image
KYDEX AIWB HOLSTER REVIEW FROM CLINT: THIS WAS MY FIRST FORAY INTO AIWB. MY INITIAL RESEARCH LED ME TO BELIEVE THIS METHOD OF CARRY WOULD OFFER COMPLETE CONCEALMENT, BUT LIMITED COMFORT. UPON RECEIVING MY HOLSTER, I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND THAT COMFORT WHILE SITTING/STANDING WAS 10/10, BUT IT TOOK SOME PLAYING AROUND WITH POSITIONING ON THE BELT TO GET TO A LEVEL OF CONCEALMENT WHERE I FELT COMFORTABLE GOING OUT WITH JUST A TSHIRT. I FOUND THE 1/130 POSITION TO OFFER MORE CONCEALMENT FOR ME (ABOUT 6'3", 180) THAN 12/1230. LOOKING DOWN, THIS IS IMMEDIATELY RIGHT OF THE FIRST BELT LOOP. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE HOLSTER ITSELF. IT'S VERY THIN, LIGHTWEIGHT, AND SEEMS TO BE WELL MADE. THE WEDGE DOES A GOOD JOB OF KEEPING THE GRIP TUCKED CLOSE TO MY TORSO AND I LIKE THE FULL COVERAGE ON THE BACK SIDE TO KEEP THE SLIDE FROM CONTACTING MY SKIN. THE HOLSTER ALSO PROTECTS THE REAR SIGHTS, AT LEAST WITH THIS PARTICULAR MODEL & FIREARM. I WOULD MAKE THIS PURCHASE AGAIN, AND...

This week on social media we posted a ton of pictures. I always get asked for product names, descriptions and links. Below you'll find all the information needed to duplicate each Custom Kydex Holster!   Here's the Custom IWB Holster for a Springfield XDS 3.3" in .45 with Viridian C5L with ECR capability . The ECR capable holster comes with a magnet that turns the laser on upon drawing your weapon. The holster shown here is a Left Handed Holster with a mid ride height and a straight draw (zero cant).  Here we've got the RAM Mounted Vehicle Holster for a Glock 26/27/33. There are two types of mounts that can be purchased: The option above, which is the Flat Surface Mount (requires drilling) and the Tough-Claw, which clamps onto a railing. The Ram Mounted Vehicle Holsters are a great option for carrying in the car. The Holster shown above is holding a Glock 33. The Mount is placed on the left, and though you can't see it, the holster has...

How to Carry an Appendix Holster Successfully

Image
Appendix Carry is becoming increasingly popular. Five years ago, it seems that the carry position was frowned upon and discouraged, carrying the stigma of shooting your junk off should your trigger finger slip up. However, with practice and training you can become confident enough with your draw stroke and brave the appendix carry waters, as long as you have a great AIWB Holster. There are so many options for Appendix Holsters now a days, it's hard to choose which option is best for you. I highly suggest going to your local gun shop to ask if you can try on different holsters, just so you can determine which style/material you'll like. That will help narrow down your search. Most shops will at least have plastic, leather and nylon holsters. Depending on what your day to day activities are, you may need more retention than what a leather or nylon holster can offer you. If you're a cable guy, or work in construction where bending and moving around is somet...
